Our new house

So, I forgot to mention last time why we were moving. We have been coming up to the Mesa area for the last few years for Thanksgiving, and we really liked the area. Last year while Travis was trying to expand his business we kind of had the idea that maybe we'd like to expand up in the Phoenix area. So, after a lot of prayers we started looking at homes and tried to see if this was going to work. The housing market was great for buying and we found a ton of homes to put offers on. We started putting offers on homes last Oct and it wasn't until the end of April that we finally had an offer accepted that we felt good about. We knew it was going to be a long process and it's funny how things kind of all fell into place all at the same time. In the mean time, Travis was busy and worried about how he was going to take care of all of his clients in San Antonio.... our entire livelyhood!!! About 6 weeks before we moved Travis found someone perfect to help take care of his clients and do some of the maitenance. So, Travis trained him relentlessly while I packed up the house and somehow we got that all done in a month and now we are up in AZ. So, the plan for now is..... Travis is building up a new clientel here in Phoenix. He'll still be going back to San Antonio every few months to check on things, but we are starting a new life here in Gilbert and plan on being here for a long time. We loved our time in San Antonio and will really miss our friends there. But, we're looking forward to life here in Gilbert. We seem to have a great ward. There are actually 3 wards in our subdivision... crazy huh? We love the neighborhood and it seems like we will really like it here. I think I'll like it even more when it's not 115 degrees and I'm not 9 months pregnant. I hope this last week and a 1/2 of pregnancy go by quickly!! Here are some pics of the house before we moved in. I'll have to add some more later, but these are just a couple of the things that I loved about it.




Here's our house. Notice there's no grass in the front. I only have about a 10ft x 10ft patch I have to mow in the backyard. I love zero scaping!!


I am loving the kitchen and ALL the storage. I still have empty cabinets and drawers that I'm not using yet.

Here's the pool. Since this picture we have added a pool fence about 18 inches away from the concrete surrounding the pool. What a relief when that was finally up.
The house is about 4100 sq feet. There are 6 bedrooms 4.5 baths. PLENTY of room to grow into. If you come visit us don't be surprised to see a lot of empty rooms. We plan on filling them eventually... but it will take a while! The pool has been a life saver in this heat! We use it all the time. So, if you're ever in the Phoenix area give us a call!! We'd love to see you and have you over for a swim!!
