Happy Birthday Hallie!!!

Hallie turned 4 years old on May 9th. Happy birthday Hallie!!! This year it fell on the same day as Mother's day. So, we had a big family dinner the night before. Travis' 87 year old Grandpa and grandma were in town. His Aunt and Uncle (Jan and Ron) drove them down for the weekend. So, we had a really fun big party for Hallie. I hope she had a great night. She is such a sweet and special girl. I hope she knows how much we all love her!


We were looking at cakes and trying to decide what to make for her. We saw this on Martha Stewart and she wanted it immediately. So, we made her a 6 layer rainbow cake w/ lemon meringue butter cream frosting. This was a huge monster cake. Glad we had a big crowd to make a dent in it.









Hallie has had a rough month this past month. She had her tonsils and adnoids out. (Yah what nice parents to do that right after her birthday) She is recovering without any complications and is doing great. Hopefully this will fix several of the issues she had. Travis got some great pictures of her on his phone.... at the surgery center. I'll have to try to get them downloaded here. It was really hard to let her go into surgery and worry about all the risks involved, but she's doing great.
