Easter Egg hunt # 2 at MiMa's house. Happy group picture....

Not so happy group picture.....

We have all these great green belts here in our neighborhood... for catching the flood rain water during monsoon season... I'm not kidding. It actually does rain here in AZ. Anyway, we organized a fun easter egg hunt with some friends in the neighborhood. It was really fun. It is Travis' role in our relationship to let Livi try all sorts of unhealthy food. Here she is trying her first powdered doughnut. No wonder she loves him.

The girls have a radar that goes off whenever I open my make-up bag. They all come running and have to try on whatever they can get their hands on. Maddy did pretty good.

Hallie... fabulous!

Skivi Livi...... classic livi. Always a huge grin
(gotta love the toe sticking out of her pj's... a little AC)

A friend and I went up to Scottsdale to check out some of their consignment stores. We went to a kid to kid, and someothers.... then we went to a good will store. We almost didn't go into this one, the smell alone almost made us turn around. But, we went in found some fun stuff. We ventured over to the Home Decor area and looked at a bunch of cool frames. I picked up this oval frame and thought that would be so cute once it was re-painted. As I got looking a little closer I was shocked..... this picture above... is a painting of my great, great, great, great grandmother Margaret McNeil Ballard. My Grandma has a very similar painting in her house. It is a painting of the time she crossed the plains.... and specifically she had to travel by herself for a week or more w/ her wagon company with her little brother strapped to her back. She was 9 years old and every morning they would strap him to her back and then at night they would help her take him down. She has so many great stories.... I just couldn't believe that I found this painting in a good will. It wouldn't mean anything to anyone else... but is such a special "find" for me. It's all repainted and hanging in Maddy's room. I love it!

wow! that is really cool. It is so fun to find treasures in hidden places. What a neat story!
That is amazing that you found that picture. It is a cute picture without the story behind it, but an amazing beautiful picture with the story. So cool.
Yay! That's totally one of the 2 pictures. Thanks for the update!
