Boston and Martha's Vineyard

I FINALLY talked Travis into taking me back to Boston.  We had SUCH a great time.  We stopped into the city and did some sight seeing for a couple days and then traveled out to Martha's Vineyard to visit the family that I nannied for over 10 years ago!  We had such a great time!  I've loaded a TON of pictures.  I think the theme for this trip was "The camera is out of batteries"  So, I know I have more pictures on Mine and Travis' phone.  I'll have to add them later.

For now, here are some pictures of our good friends The Walch Family.  We knew them from when we lived in San Antonio and they were so sweet to take us around sight seeing and let us stay with them for a couple nights.  We had a lot of fun catching up and seeing their cute kiddos.

Me and Ashley.  She seriously is super mom.  She has two kids 8 months a part! They are adorable kids and helped me get my baby fix because I sure missed my own little babies!

Martha's Vineyard
I'm realizing now, just how many pictures must be on our other phones.... arg...
Here are a few pictures of the guest house that we stayed in on Martha's Vineyard.   I have been dying to go back to visit the family I Nannied for over 10 years ago.  They spend their summer on the Vineyard and they were so sweet to let us stay there with them.  We had a great time catching up.   They generously let us stay in their Guest house.  It is SO adorable in absolutely every way.  I just had to take some pictures of the different rooms.  The main house is also amazingly decorated.  It was an incredible place to spend my summers 10 years ago and I was beyond excited to be able to come back and show Travis... everything.  (p.s. these pictures don't do it justice.  It is so open, light, and airy.)

Betsy was so sweet and shared her birthday flowers with us.  They certainly brightened the room.  She always had gorgeous flowers! (real flowers)

This isn't their house... this is just a house I took a picture of.  They live in a town on the Island called Edgartown.  It is my favorite!  Downtown... There are all these homes similar to this one above.  They are all Immaculately white washed and have huge Hydrangea bushes in front of them.  It seriously looks like something out of a movie.  It's just perfect looking.  Anyway, I wanted to get a couple pictures of the gorgeous Hydrangeas.

We walked around Edgartown and found a quiet spot on the enormous deck/porch of an amazing hotel overlooking the water.  We sat there and hung out for a while.

Across that little body of water is Chappaquiddick Island.  The famous Island where the Ted Kennedy scandal occurred.  When I lived there over the summer, we ferried the boys over to that island within another island to their beach club everyday.  It's beautiful!

Travis and I headed over to another side of the island, Gay Head Cliffs.

Loved this boarded walk way down to the beach.

We walked and walked and walked along the beach.  There are beautiful cliffs on this side of the island, but the only way to get to them is to walk along the shore.  It was a fun walk in spite of the large naked man we saw sun bathing on this cloudy day.  :)

So pretty!!

Along the drive we pulled into a few private driveways. (Even though I strongly disapproved!)  But, we found the homes and farms of our dreams.  Yes farms! If you could have rolling green fields of farmland overlooking the ocean, you would want one too!  This particular private property if you look closely has a great hammock tied between the trees next to this quiet pond.  It was so peaceful and beautiful!

Next we went to Menemsha and Travis had the best Fresh Seafood I think he's ever had in his life.  I loved this home snuggled on the cliff over there. Can you imagine?

Biggest Lobster we had ever seen.  This picture doesn't do it Justice.  These were caught that day and available to buy and cook up right there off the shore.  Best Lobster rolls ever!

Next Part of the Island we visited was Oaks Bluffs.  This is a really fun lively part of the island.  More night life.. and busy tourist area.

This is a picture of a gorgeous park overlooking the ocean, right in the heart of Oak Bluffs.

Oak Bluffs is famous for these adorable little houses.  They are available to rent and there are hundreds of them all with their own personalities.  They are tiny and adorable!

The flowers were Gorgeous in this Park!

Another cute little house!

We had such a great time!  I'm so glad I was able to go back here with Travis.   It was so great to see Betsy and the boys.  They were such a big part of my life.  I learned so much from them while I lived there as their Nanny.  It was so great to see them all again!
